Miao people have their own Spring Festival held during the lunar ninth to the eleventh month. During the festival, Lusheng dancing, horse racing, rooster fights, and buffalo fights are held. Miao people dress in gaily-embroidered silk costumes and a full array of silver ornaments to celebrate their New Year. This journey will be spent celebrating the Miao Spring Festival. It will leave you with lasting memories.

Itinerary

Day 1 Guiyang - Kaili (220km, 2.5hr)
- Leave Guiyang in the morning to drive 2.5 hours along the scenic mountain roads to Kaili.
- Visit the Kaili Museum. This museum gives an overall view of the ethnic costume in Guizhou.
- Stay in Kaili.

Day 2 Kaili - Leishan (65km, 1hr)
- Experience the Miao New Year Festival, seeing the girls' traditional costume and silver ornaments. Join the celebration ceremonies, composed of Lusheng dancing, horse racing, rooster fights, and buffalo fights, and it's a good opportunity to learn and joining in the celebrate dancing.
- Stay in local village (with clean bed sheet).

Day 3 Leishan - Kaili (65km, 1hr)
- Try to make the Miao musical instrument - Lusheng. OR
- Try to do farm work (not heavy work) in the fields in the morning.
- Drive back to Kaili in the afternoon.
- Stay in Kaili.

Day 4 Kaili - Guiyang (220km, 2.5hr)
- Coach to Guiyang in the morning.
- An open afternoon for you to explore the beautiful city.
- In the evening, enjoy the Chinese Tea Ceremony in a typical Chinese garden.
- Stay in Guiyang.

Day 5
- Leave Guiyang.
- Trip ends.
